McCOOEY (nee McConville) Gertie, Lurganmore, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan and formerly Crossmaglen, Co Armagh – Wednesday October 25th 2023, peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Dermot and Annie McConville, brothers Patrick and Pearse. Gertie, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her heartbroken family; husband Eugene, sons Dermot and Arthur, daughters-in-law Caitriona and Nicola, her six cherished grandchildren; Aaron, Chloe, Niall, Caolán, Eloise and Kaitlyn, sister Lilly McCooey, brother Michael McConville, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends. May Gertie’s gentle soul rest in Eternal peace.

House Strictly Private please, as by request. Gertie’s funeral cortège will travel from her home tomorrow morning Friday to arrive at The Commons Car Park, Castleblayney at 10.40am, proceeding on foot thereafter to arrive St Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for Funeral Mass at 11.00am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
