McCARTHY John (Ex. Molins and MPE), at home on the 30th December 2023, after a short illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family.

Loving husband of Eileen, father of Christine, Mary and Patricia, grandfather and great-grandfather. Brother of the late Michael (Cork). Sadly missed by the wider family circle.

Funeral leaving his home, 6 Barry Street, on Monday 1st January at 9:20am to St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if wished, to Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry.

House strictly private from 11:00pm to 11:00am please. Our Lady of Knock pray for him.
