We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Philomena (Phyllis) Ward (née Friel) Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by her loving family on the 11th of February 2024. May she rest in peace. Late of 9 Dunaff Gardens, Derry, BT48 9NB.

Beloved wife of the late Paddy R.I.P and loving mother of Clare, Michelle, Patrick and Stephen. Dear mother-in- law of Paul, Kevin and Orlaith. Devoted grandmother of Lauren, Aaron, Eimear, Caoimhe, Aoife, Conor, Adam, Ellie and Aimee. Daughter of the late Edward & Mary Friel R.I.P (formerly of 13 St Columb’s Well and Drumcliff Avenue). Dear sister of Mimi, Kay, Marty and Bernie and the late Gracie, Eddie, Sophia, Jimmy and Susie R.I.P. Deeply regretted by all her nieces, nephews and the entire family circle.

Reposing from her late residence, funeral from there on Wednesday 14th of February leaving at 09.30am for 10am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Creggan, interment immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed via the church webcam. Saint Anthony pray for her.
