Date of Death: Monday 14th July 2025

We, the family of the late Alice Sweeney, wish to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with and supported us during our recent bereavement. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who called to the house, sent cards and messages of condolence, provided food, and attended the wake and funeral.

Thank you to Ann’s Home Care and Clogher Valley Care carers, for all their care and kindness to Alice. Also to the Dungannon District Nursing Team for all their support and assistance. To Alice’s friends and neighbours, we are deeply touched by your kindness and support. Your thoughtful words and gestures have been of great comfort to us.

We are grateful to Dean Kevin Donaghy for the beautiful Requiem Mass in Dungannon Chapel, and to Fr. Peter McAnenly for his service at Alice’s final resting place at Carrickmore Chapel. A special thank you to Cliodhna Quinn and Damien Donnelly for the beautiful music during the service. Thank you also to the sacristan for preparing the chapel, and to Mick Haughey and the grave diggers for preparing Alice’s final resting place.

Our sincere thanks to Kevin McElvogue for his assistance with the marquee and chairs, and to The Charm Inn, Carrickmore, for providing the food after the funeral.

Special thanks are extended to Kate McAleer and John Donaghy for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. Their guidance, kindness, and support were exceptional.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our deep appreciation and gratitude.

Alice’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on 15th August in St. Patrick’s Chapel, Dungannon at 7:30pm.
