The family circle of the late Myrtle Barnes wish to thank those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. A special word of thanks to Rev. Trevor Cleland for conducting the Service of Thanksgiving and for his words of comfort and prayers. Thanks also to Ballinderry Ladies Fellowship for providing catering after the service. A huge thanks to the family doctors, Dr. Patterson & Dr Williamson of Lisburn City Practice, also, Myrtle’s team of carers (Nursing Care Direct) for their unfailing care and attention. A special word of thanks to our friends, Sandra & Billy Pentland, for all their kindness to our mum over many years. To all those who sent donations, cheques payable to Air Ambulance N.I. c/o Ronnie Thompson Funeral Directors or online via www.ronniethompson.co.uk, sent letters and cards of sympathy, telephoned, called at the home, brought gifts, attended the funeral or helped in any way. BARNES (nee Bell) Sarah Myrtle – 6th October 2025. Peacefully at home aged 86 years. Late of Peel Gardens, Lisburn. Beloved wife of the late George. Much loved mother to Janet, John and the late Wendy and mother-in-law to Nicola. Devoted granny to Ryan and Clark. Dear sister of Norman and sister-in-law to Beth.

A service of thanksgiving will be held in Ballinderry Parish Church 8 Lower Ballinderry Rd, Lisburn BT28 2EP on Thursday 9th October at 2pm; followed by burial in The Middle Churchyard.
