Date of Death: Saturday 9th August 2025 Town: Burren
Date of Death: Saturday 9th August 2025

Acknowledgment
We, the family of the Late Leontia Bradley would like to convey our sincere appreciation to all who supported us during the recent loss of our beloved mother. Our pain and sense of loss, although never eradicated, is greatly eased by the many prayers, messages of sympathy, cards, flowers and calls we have received in recent days. We as a family, were truly humbled and strengthened by all those who attended Mummy’s wake and funeral, which showed just how much Leontia was loved and respected by all.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those who looked after our dearest Leontia’s medical needs during her illness, especially doctors Gilsenan, McCreesh & Murdock and all staff at Warrenpoint Health Centre, the staff of Walsh’s Pharmacy, the doctors and staff at Daisy Hill and Craigavon Hospitals and the staff of Slieve Roe Care Unit. Also, we will be forever grateful to Barbara and her team, the Life and Time Staff and the Marie Curie Nurses, who not only made Leontia’s final weeks as comfortable as possible, but also provided the family with much needed support and guidance when required. We extend our gratitude to the night carers, Marjorie, Nicola & Jodie whose comforting presence was invaluable and to our good friend Anne to whom we shall always be indebted.
We also extend our thanks to all those who cared for Leontia’s spiritual needs before and during her illness. To Monsignor Hugh Connolly, Fr. Charlie Byrne, Fr. Zeb Obasi and Canon John Kearney, all of whom attended Leontia in her final weeks and to Francis McMahon whose visits to both her home and hospitals were greatly appreciated. To all those who took part in Leontia’s Funeral Mass including the concelebrant priests, the singer & musicians, altar servers, Eucharistic Ministers, St. Colman’s P.S. Kilkeel Guard of Honour and the florist, we extend a sincere thank you for helping us give our Mummy such a heartfelt and beautiful farewell.
To Leontia’s friends and neighbours in Corrags and its surrounds, we can safely say that Mummy just loved living among you all and we can understand why. Your care, courtesy and craic over the years became fully apparent during the days of the wake and funeral. Thank you all for your kindness shown to Mummy over the years and a special mention must be given to Roisin and Mary, who as lifelong friends were a constant source of enjoyment and companionship. Also, we extend our thanks to the White & O’Hare families for providing the parking facilities during the wake and to all those who provided food and made teas and looked after both the attendees and family during this time.
We would also like to acknowledge the dedication of Brendan McKernan and Garbhan McFerran in making Burren Social Club available to the family after the funeral mass and to Hugh Murray and the staff of Diamonds for providing the food and refreshments.
Finally, our sincere gratitude is extended to Cathal and all at McAnulty Funeral Directors for the dignified and respectful manner in which they carried out the funeral. Your continued professional service is greatly appreciated by the Bradley family.
As a family we would dearly love to thank everyone who supported us through this difficult time. We find solace in your sympathies and prayers and we continue to pray that Leontia is now joined in heaven with her beloved P.J. and all who have gone before her.
Go raibh maith agat agus beannaigh gach duine.
Leontia’s Months Mind Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Chapel, Burren at 7:30p.m. on Saturday 6th September 2025.
