Brendan (Hugh) DONAGHY
BRENDAN DONAGHY (RIP)
We the family of the late Brendan Donaghy (RIP) wish to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported and sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. Heartfelt thanks to our extended family, friends and neighbours for their kindness and support during the wake and funeral. We are deeply touched by the many people who took the time to remember him, shared memories about him and offered kind words, as this has helped us to both celebrate his life and grieve our loss. Thanks to everyone who came to the wake, to all who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, messages of condolences and gave donations to the Friendly Care Group. Thanks also to our friends and neighbours who helped in so many ways providing equipment, bringing food, making and serving tea and food, to those who gave use of their premises, organised and provided buses to and from the Donaghy home, to all those people who gave their time to steward and to drive the buses, Thank you. We greatly appreciate all those who attended the requiem mass as well as those who followed the live stream. Thanks to those groups who formed a Guard of Honour as we made our way to the Church – Friendly Care Group, Starbreakers Group, An Charraig Mhor CLG, Eire Og Hurling Club, Carmen Runners and Patrician whose presence brought great comfort to the family. We would like to express our sincere thanks to FMC Funeral Directors for their professional, compassionate and dignified manner in the way they conducted the wake and funeral arrangements and supported the family throughout. Profound and heartfelt gratitude to Fr McAnenly for his spiritual support and pastoral care and guidance during the wake and for celebrating a beautiful personal and fitting funeral mass. To the musicians Sinead Kelly and Rory Madden for providing the beautiful music during the mass and thanks to everyone who took part in the liturgy and gifts, church sacristan, eucharistic ministers, altar servers, booklet maker and gravedigger. Thanks to Patrician for use of the hall and to the Old Charm for providing refreshments after the funeral. We would also like to acknowledge and express deep gratitude to the doctors of Carrickmore Health Centre for their care and attention in his final days. As it is impossible to thank you all individually please accept this acknowledgement as our heartfelt appreciation. We apologise if we unintentionally omitted anyone and thank everyone who supported us in any way during this difficult time. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
