We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Brigid Ann Canning (née McLaughlin) peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 18th of June 2025, may she rest in peace.

Late of 9 Muldonagh Cottages, Foreglen, Co Derry.

Beloved wife of Paddy. Loving mother of Mary Elizabeth, Martina Murray, Bridgeen McCullagh, Amanda Mc Ilvar and the late Geraldine Bradley R.I.P. Fond mother in law of Anthony “Bell”,

Cathal ”Curry” and Paddy. Devoted grandmother of Patrick, Lorna, Carla, Katie, Aoifé, Ben, Tiérna, Cody, Casey, Paddy, Paudie and Faolán. Great grandmother of Kian, Esmé and Myla. Dear sister of William, Mickey, Philip, Peter, Brian and the late Eileen, Jimmy, Anthony and Thomas R.I.P.

You are welcome to pay your respects at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home (414a Ballyquin Road, Dungiven, BT47 4NQ) this evening – Wednesday (18th) 6pm to 8.30pm. Leaving the funeral home at 8.30pm to repose at her late home.

Funeral leaving from her late home on Friday 20th of June leaving at 12.20pm for 1pm Requiem Mass in St Peter and St Pauls Church, Foreglen, interment immediately afterwards in adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only , donations if desired in lieu to WHSCT Ward 26, Altnagelvin c/o McLaughlin funeral directors. St Padre Pio pray for her.
