We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Hugh Cassidy, peacefully at his home on 8th May 2023. Late of 290 Carnhill and formerly of 50 Argyle Street. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of Philomena. Devoted father of Martin, Sharon and Patrick. Loving granda of Kayleigh, Megan and Luke. A much loved great-granda of Jayden, Erica, Conán and Oisín. Dearest brother of Grace and the late John, Sheila, Margaret and Gerard. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Hugh’s remains will be reposing at his late family residence, 290 Carnhill from approx. 5:30pm this evening, Monday 8th May. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday 10th May at 9:40am for 10:15am requiem mass in St. Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
