It is with the greatest of regret that we have to inform you of the death of Pat Close, Carnlough, who passed away peacefully at home with his family on 28th March 2026, may he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of the late Monica, much loved daddy of Francis (Bríd), Máive, Pat (Margaret), Martin (Connie), Gerarda, Séan (Catriona), and Declan (Ita). Loving Granda Pat to Liam, Vivian, Aoife, Anthony and Cliona. Dear brother of Tom, Evelyn (Shields) and the late Robert and Kay (Devlin).

Pat will repose at his daughter Gerarda’s residence, 42 The Bayfields, Carnlough.

Pat’s funeral will leave his home residence, 26 Croft Road, on Tuesday at 11.20am to St. John the Evangelist Church, Carnlough, for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sons, daughters, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother, sister, nieces, nephews and his entire family circle.

Sacred Heart of Jesus I place all my trust in You. Immaculate heart of Mary pray for him.

Visitors welcome on Sunday from 12noon until 9pm, and on Monday from 12 noon until 8pm.
