We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Ellen (Nellie) Doherty, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 3rd February 2024. Late of 12 Melmore Gardens. May she rest in peace.

Beloved daughter of the late John and Madge. Loving sister of the late Rose, Mickey and Martha. A much loved aunt of Pat, John, Damian, Maeve, Anne, Deirdre, Elaine, John and Eamonn. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Nellie’s remains will be reposing at the McClafferty funeral home and chapel of rest. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday 6th February at 9:20am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at the McClafferty funeral home and chapel of rest between 6pm and 9pm tomorrow evening, Monday 5th February.
