DOWNEY (née Ramsey) Lilian – R.I.P. 15 Railway Road, Meigh, Killeavy, Newry BT35 8JU. 27th October 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Peter Downey and loving mother of Peter (Elizabeth), Robert (Ann), Deirdre (Gregory Rodgers), Colm (Jacqueline) and Sean (Kim), loving sister of Dorothy (O’Reilly), Tom and Peter (Ramsey) and the late Rosaleen (Downey).
Lilian’s remains are reposing at her late residence, 15 Railway Road, Meigh tonight (27th October) – family only please. Everyone welcome Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th. Removal on Thursday 30th October at 11.15am for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St. Joseph’s church, Meigh. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her sorrowing sons, daughter, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sister, nephews, nieces and the entire family circle.
Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her.
