FINNEGAN Gerard died on 30th January 2022, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital. Late of 7 Belmont Drive. Formerly of Bangor Co. Down.

Beloved husband of Máire (née McReynolds), loving father of Émer, Niall and Dervla, dear son of Anne and the late Derrick, loving brother of Paul, Thomas and Mary, dear brother-in-law of Malachy, Caitriona, Ruairi, Declan and Fionnuala. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.

Funeral leaving his home, 7 Belmont Drive, on Wednesday the 2nd February at 10:20 a.m. to St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn for Requiem Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.

O Sacred Heart Of Jesus I place all my trust in thee. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him. Suaimhneas Síoraí.

Book of Condolences

Very saddened to learn about Gerard. He was a fine man, and an exemplar among those he worked with in Derrys business community. And there were many. Gerard spread himself across very many aspects of civic and commercial life in the city, many in a voluntary capacity. He gained widespread respect. Taken much too early. Sincere condolences to his wife and family circle.
