We the family of the Late Frankie Rafferty would like to sincerely thank all who supported us, before, during and after the recent loss of our beloved father. As a family, we are truly humbled and strengthened by all those who attended Daddy’s wake and funeral, which showed just how much Frankie was loved and respected.

To our friends, relatives and neighbours who offered such comfort, support and practical help in the days and weeks before and following Frankie’s passing — thank you. Your kindness has been a light to us in these dark times and we are endlessly grateful for each thoughtful act and words of comfort and support.

Special thank you to the GP’s and staff from Carrickmore Health Centre, Fiona and all the wonderful ladies at Harte’s Chemist, Carrickmore. To the District Nursing team and Foyle Hospice Nurses, your professionalism, guidance, truth and friendship during Daddy’s illness is appreciated beyond measure. Our family is eternally indebted to you.

Thank you to Father McAnenely for his guidance and his beautiful funeral Service. Thank you to Father Barney McAleer for ensuring our entire family was filled with love and joy before Frankie left the house one last time. Thank you to Caoimhe Loughran Music – there are no words to describe how your incredible voice comforted and lifted our spirits during Mass.
To Kelley Fox-McNally and the staff, Charm Inn, Carrickmore for the refreshments provided after Mass. Thank you to Stephen Mallon for so kindly arranging Frankie’s prized Hydrangeas into a wreath. Thank you to Gaelscoil na gCrann for their most thoughtful Guard of Honour.

To Mick, Barry and Ciaran Daly – Daly Construction Ltd. Thank you for your companionship over the last few months of Daddy’s illness. Thank you for providing Frankie with employment and friendship over the last 30 years. He had such fun gathering stories during his working week, to share at home. Thank you to all the visitors at the wake who retold those crazy stories! Mick, Barry, Ciaran – You have always been Daddy’s extended family and are very appreciated and loved. To Daddy’s work colleagues who made that long journey to his wake and funeral, thank you sincerely.

To Patrick Hughes, Eurospar, Carrickmore, Jackie, Mark and Conal, Jackie’s Nisa, Loughmacrory, Traynors Quality Meats, Ballygawley Thank you all for the unexpected but most appreciated food for Daddy’s wake.

To Kate McAleer Funeral Director and John Donaghey Funeral Director. Your guidance, care, attention to detail and unwavering support during the wake and funeral can never be fully described. You are truly the unspoken heroes to any family, lucky enough to have you provide the arrangements for a loved ones final goodbye. You made the impossible happen and nothing was too much for you to provide. Thank you for taking Daddy for one final visit to his childhood home, before the wake. We are forever grateful. To Simon Marshall, thank you for your workmanship, you bring great comfort to every family. Thank you to Ciaran Conroy for the impeccable care you took with the opening, preparation and closure of our fathers final resting place beside our mother. Thank you to CK Marquees. for their speedy delivery and removal of the marquee.

We will never be able to thank everyone who has shown our family such compassion, but please know that each day, as we recall the past few months, you are most definitely in our thoughts and prayers.

Frankie’s month’s mind Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 28th of August in St Mary’s Church, Loughmacrory at 7.30pm.
