We the family of Edward Gallagher wish to express our sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised and supported us with our recent bereavement of our beloved Husband, Father, Father in law and Grandfather.
We would like to express our appreciation to our extended family, friends and neighbours, your support was invaluable.
To the management & staff of the Belfry Country Inn Hotel, Thornhill College canteen staff and to all those who provided refreshments we greatly appreciate your support and generosity.
Thanks to everyone who sent messages, mass/sympathy cards, visited our home and attended the requiem mass and graveside.
We wish to thank the doctors, nurses and all other staff within Ward 26 and the Cancer centre of Altnagelvin hospital, for the compassionate care that was given to Edward.
Thanks to Fr McDevitt for the requiem Mass and to Fr Baker for the prayers at the graveside.
Thanks to W J O’Brien and Son Funeral Directors for their professional dignified service and guiding us with the funeral arrangement.
Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation.

Edwards months mind mass will take place on 14th June at 6:30pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Steelstown Road, Derry.

GALLAGHER Edward, 8th May 2025 peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of Stella, 28 Bradley Park, loving father of Martin and Clare, father-in-law of Charlene and Jason, devoted grandfather of Jack, Leah and Ruby, son of the late Willie and Ruby, son-in-law of Gretta and the late Tommy Rodgers (Bridgend), dear brother of Ann, Marian, Joanna and the late Bridgette and a much loved brother-in-law and uncle.

His remains will be reposing in his home from 2 pm on Friday. Funeral from there on Sunday at 11.45 am for 12.15 pm funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Interment afterwards in Burt cemetery. Family time please from 10 pm to 11 am.

Family flowers only please. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
