Diane, Paul and families wish to thank all those who sympathised with them during the sad loss of their dear mother, nanny, great-nanny, sister, sister in law and aunt.
We extend our thanks to everyone who attended the wake, sent cards and messages of condolence, gave donations to the NI Hospice; it was greatly appreciated.Thanks to Daphne Scott for providing refreshments.
A special word of thanks to Father Derek Kearney for his prayers, words of comfort and for conducting the Requiem Mass. Thanks also to Bernie and Marty Campbell for the beautiful music.
We are grateful to the Palliative Care team, District Nursing team and the staff of Lydian Care for their care to our mother in her late home. Your help, kindness and compassion is very much appreciated.
Finally we would like to thank Martin, Claire, Gordon and Charlie from Charles Rourke & Sons Funeral Directors for their kindness, guidance and professionalism in their handling of the funeral arrangements.
We trust this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Anne’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place at 10.30am on Sunday 10th August in Church of The Immaculate Conception & St. Joseph, Crossgar.

GEMMELL (nee Passmore) Anne, 13th July 2025, peacefully at home, dearly loved wife of the late James and much loved mother of Diane and Paul, mother-in-law of Antony and Tracey, loving grandmother of Laura, Chloe, Jared, Megan, Calum and Cai, great-grandmother of Clara, Elsie and Keegan and dear sister of John and Susan and the late Gerard, Paul and Christopher. May she rest in peace.

Requiem Mass will be held in Church of The Immaculate Conception & St. Joseph, Crossgar on Thursday 17th July at 10.00am, interment afterwards in Holy Family Cemetery, Teconnaught.

Family flowers only please, donations may be made in lieu if desired to N. I Hospice c/o Charles Rourke & Sons, Funeral Directors, 51 Church Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6EH.

Family and friends welcome to pay their respects at her family home on Tuesday 15th July and Wednesday 16th July between 5.00pm – 8.00pm.
