The death has taken place of Elizabeth (Betty) Guthrie (née Goligher), February 2 2026, Peacefully at Edgewater Nursing Home, Newbuildings (surrounded by her loving family in her 89th year, formerly of 23 Primity Park, Newbuildings), dearly beloved wife of the late Samuel, much loved mother of Sharon, Herbie and the late Samuel and John, an adored granny and great-granny.

Service of Thanksgiving for her life in D & R Hay and Sons Funeral Home, 24A Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry, BT47 3QQ on Thursday, February 5 at 10.00am followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Edgewater Care Home Patient Comfort Fund c/o Edgewater Care Home, 70 Victoria Rd, Derry, BT47 2RL. Everyone is welcome to call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11.00am until 2.00pm and evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
