HAMILL Samuel – Longtime resident of Ballyclare, has passed away in Antrim Area Hospital, on 12th August 2025, aged 86.

Born in Larne, Sam spent the early part of his life in Ballyclare, before moving to Scotland in the 1970s where he lived in the Inverness area for many years, working as a bus driver for Highland Omnibuses until retirement. Sam returned to County Antrim in the latter stage of his life. He very much enjoyed spending time walking in the mountains and countryside of Scotland and Ireland which brought him great pleasure.

Sam leaves four children Audrey, Samantha, Stephanie and Robert, as well as seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A private cremation will be taking place at Sam’s request.
