HANLON Kathleen (Katie) passed away peacefully April 9, 2026 at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Paddy, much loved sister of Mairead, Nuala, Molly, Geraldine and the late Sean. She will be sorely missed by her extended family and friends.

Katie is reposing at O’Kanes Funeral Home, 2 St Judes Avenue, BT7 2GZ. Those wishing to pay their respects and sign the book of condolence, are welcome to call on Monday April 13th between 1.00pm and 5.00pm. Kathleen’s remains will leave O’Kanes Funeral Home at 11.00am on Tuesday April 14th to arrive at Maghery Cemetery, Co Donegal for committal at approximately 2.00pm. Katie was a local peace builder and worked as a neighbourhood community worker and CEO of Ballynafeigh Community Development Association (BCDA) for over 35 years.
