John MULLIN

Date of Death: Tuesday 27th January 2026 Town: Pomeroy

We, the family of the late John Mullin wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all our family, friends and neighbours who sympathised, prayed for and supported us during our recent sad bereavement. To those who attended the wake and funeral, travelled long distances to be with us, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, messages and flowers or kindly brought food, made teas, and helped in any way we thank you. Your support has meant more than we can say.

We are sincerely grateful to Fr. David Moore for his faithful monthly visits to Daddy on the sick call and for celebrating a beautiful and meaningful Requiem Mass. Your kind and thoughtful words about Daddy were deeply appreciated. We also thank Fr. Peter McAnenly for his attendance and extend our sincere thanks to the Chapel Sacristans.

A very special word of thanks to Kate McAleer Funeral Director and her staff for the compassion, professionalism and quiet dignity shown throughout every aspect of Daddy’s funeral arrangements. From the very beginning, your guidance, reassurance and attention to every detail brought us great comfort at a most difficult time. Sincere thanks to the Grave diggers for preparing daddy’s final resting place.

We offer our eternal gratitude to Una Loughran and Patsy Begley who came to Daddy in his greatest time of need, administered CPR, and gave us the precious gift of time to be with him and say our goodbyes. We will never forget your courage and compassion.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Ambulance Service, Rapid Response Team, First Responder, and the dedicated nurses and doctors in the A&E Department at Craigavon Area Hospital for the care shown to Daddy.

A special thank you to the staff at Carrickmore Health Centre and to Damian and the Staff at McAleer Medical Hall for the exceptional care, kindness and continued support they gave to daddy over the years.

To Jackie Fox & Eamon Donnelly Music, Pomeroy Comhaltas Grúpa Ceoil and Pomeroy Accordion Band, we are eternally grateful for the beautiful music you provided for Daddy’s funeral. Music meant so much to Daddy and brought him great joy throughout his life. Your beautiful singing and music made his farewell especially personal and was a truly fitting tribute.

We are deeply grateful to Cavanakeeran Community Centre for the use of their facilities, and to Maria Corrigan and her staff for the beautiful meal provided after the funeral. Your kindness and hospitality meant so much to us.

To everyone who helped with stewarding and car parking throughout the wake and funeral, your time and support did not go unnoticed. We thank you most sincerely.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a heartfelt expression of our appreciation and gratitude to each and every person who played a part in giving our Daddy the wonderful send-off he so truly deserved.

Daddy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on 27th February at 7:30pm in the Church of the Assumption, Pomeroy.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
