KIDD (née Cunningham) Ethna (Betty) (Leslie, Scotland) September 30th, 2025, peacefully at home, Betty aged 93 years, formerly of Upper North Street, Newry.

Predeceased by her beloved husband John, her parents Charlie and Minnie, her brothers Bobby and Charlie, her sisters Sally and Francie, her step-mother Cecilia and Mary.

Cherished Mum of Anna, Fiona, Michael, Rose and Ethna, and mother in law to Michael, Jocelyn and Pete. Adored Granny of Emma, Ruth, Matthew, Madeleine, John, Rachel, David and Nicala, and treasured GG to Alice, Joshua, Euan, Gabriella, Ronan, Kya, Vincent and Oran and much loved sister of Suzanne Connolly (Newry).

A Requiem Mass took place for Betty yesterday, Friday 17th October in St Mary’s RC Church, Leslie before travelling home to Newry.

Betty’s remains will repose at the Heaney Keenan Funeral Home, 53 Patrick Street on Friday 24th October, 2025 from 5pm – 7pm. Funeral will leave the funeral home on Saturday 25th October, 2025 at 9.30am for 10am Requiem Mass in St Malachy’s Church, Carrickcruppen. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken son, daughters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister, brother-in-law Peter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and the entire family circle.
