LEATHEM Mary. Called home 22nd July 2024 peacefully at Burleigh Hill Nursing Home, Carrickfergus, in her 98th year. Late of Grange Valley Park, Ballyclare.

Beloved wife of the late David. Much loved sister-in-law of Olive and her husband, the late Walter. Dearly loved aunt to all her nieces and nephews.

Funeral private by her own request.

Mary was one of the kindest and selfless individuals we have ever known. Besides supporting my father-in-law after the death of his first wife, Madge, she became Nana to our 2 sons, Jonathan and Jared. She loved them as if they were her own grandchildren. She was the only Nana they knew on the Leathem side of the family and they adored her. We all loved to visit them in Tampa, FL. A special memory was eating fresh grapefruit from their backyard. We all miss her very much but know that she is “with Christ which is far better.” Janet, David, Jonathan, and Jared Leathem
