McCARTAN Laurence (Newry), passed peacefully on December 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a short illness. Beloved husband of Patricia, devoted father to Karen, JohnPaul and Emma, adoring grandfather to James, Niall, Annie and John and treasured brother of Dominick, Gabriel, Vivienne (McCoy) and the late Malachy. R.I.P.

His remains will repose at his late residence, 129 Drumalane Park, Newry. Requiem Mass for Laurence will be celebrated on tomorrow Sunday at 1.00pm in The Church of the Assumption, Drumalane. Burial afterwards in Monkshill Cemetery. Our Lady of Medjugorje, pray for him as he journeys into Eternal light. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife, son, daughters, sons-in-law Joe, Neil and John, grandchildren, brothers, sister, his sister-in-law Eilish Smith, brothers-in-law John, Pat, Gerry, Michael and Denis, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle and his many friends.
