McGINLEY Fr Seamus PE AP – February 11th 2022, suddenly at the Parochial House, Lissan.
Son of the late Francis and Kathleen (Garvaghey) and dear brother of Eileen R.I.P., Anne, Terry, Peggy, Charlie, Bernadette, Carmel, Briege, Marian, Michael and Claire. Sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, extended family circle and friends. Deeply regretted by Archbishop Eamon Martin, Cardinal Sean Brady, Bishop Michael Router, the clergy of the Archdiocese of Armagh, his many priestly friends and the parishioners of Lissan and Kildress.
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for him. St Padre Pio, pray for him.
Reposing at his late residence (family only please) until removal on Sunday at 5.40pm to St Michaels Church, Lissan for arrival at 6pm where Fr Seamus will repose until celebration of Mass at 7.30pm on Monday. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in St Matthews Cemetery, Garvaghey.
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if so desired to Charis Cancer Care kindly accepted by any family member. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Covid restrictions apply please. Church is limited to 100 people.
Last June, Fr McGinley celebrated 45 years in the priesthood. He had served as a parish priest in Annaghmore, Loughgall, Maghery, Newtownhamilton and Tartaraghan.
