Date of Death: Saturday 26th July 2025

We, the family of the late Mary Lizzie McGuckin, would like to express our appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement.
We are grateful to all those who helped us through this difficult time. A special thank you to the staff at Brookland’s Nursing Home Magherafelt for the dedicated care they provided to Mary Lizzie.
We also would like to thank Diamond Medical Centre Magherafelt for their help and support.
To our extended family, friends and neighbours, your presence at the wake and funeral, your kind words, the telephone calls, flowers, mass cards, prayers, and gestures of sympathy meant so much to our family.
We would like to thank Lavery’s Funeral Directors, Conan, Pat & Peter, for their compassion and dignified handling of all the arrangements, along with the grave diggers, who prepared Mary Lizzie’s final resting place. A special thank you to Margaret Anne Conlon and Patrick Slevin for the beautiful music and to Maura Quinn who provided the lovely flower arrangements. Special thanks to Corky and the Kinturk staff for hosting food after the burial, to the Tilley lamp who provided sandwiches and to Noel and Margaret at Al Forno Pizza who provided food for the wake.
A special word of thanks to Fr Tremer who called daily offering us guidance and support. Thank you for the beautiful ceremony on the day of the funeral, Fr Tremer’s words brought resonance and great comfort to Mary Lizzie’s family and friends, especially those joining the service on the internet.
Mary Lizzie will be sadly missed by her daughter’s, son, grandchildren, great grandchildren, son-in-laws, daughter-in-law and the wider community.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere appreciation of our gratitude to all.
Mary Lizzie’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament Mullinahoe on Saturday 30th of August at 6pm.
