MOONEY (née Leeson) Elizabeth Una R.I.P. (28 Ballylough Road, Annsborough, Castlewellan, Co Down BT31 9NN). Died December 26, 2024 peacefully at Wood Lodge Nursing Home, Castlewellan.

Dearly loved wife of the late Peter Mooney (formerly of Broomfield, Castleblaney, Co Monaghan). Loving and devoted mother of Seamus, Peter, Elizabeth, Kieran and Caroline, sister of Jim (Belfast), and the late Chrissie and Edward. Loving mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Will be sadly missed by her entire family circle, friends and neighbours.

Her remains are presently reposing in M.J. Sawey and Sons Chapel of Rest, 9 Bryansford Avenue, Newcastle Co Down BT33 0AX. Her remains will arrive at her family home on today Monday December 30, 2024 for Private Family Reflection. Family and friends welcome on tomorrow Tuesday. Funeral Service in St Malachy’s Church, Castlewellan at 12noon on Wednesday January 1, 2025, burial will follow in Aughlisnafin Cemetery. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her.
