Family thanks and Months Mind notice

We, the family of the late John Murray, wish to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported and sympathised with us during our recent heart-breaking loss.
Heartfelt thanks must go to the first responders and emergency services who attended to Johnny on the morning of 31 st August. We trust that you will always know how much your care and professionalism is appreciated. A special word of recognition goes to Gabriel & Shea for been with Johnny that morning; it brings us great comfort knowing you were with him. Thank you to the local people who lined the streets and roadsides as Johnny made his way from Lisnaskea to Roslea one last time.
We are deeply grateful to all our relatives, friends, family & neighbours for their kindness. To all those who sent food, cooked meals, offered practical help, sent cards and travelled to be with us all at this most difficult time.
To the undertakers, Aidan, Mags & Sean, for dignity and respect throughout and all their help in organizing all the funeral arrangements. To Father Eamon, for his fitting eulogy, Father Chester for his support, the grave diggers and Ollie, at Swift & McCaffery Funeral Home, Brian’s Bar for the funeral refreshments, and Danielle, Brenda & Karen for their beautiful music.
Johnny is truly loved and sorely missed by his wife Clare, children Dara & Una, dad Michael, sister Michelle, brother Martin and his entire family circle. May his amazing, kind and generous soul be
granted peace and eternal life.

Johnny’s Month’s Mind Mass will be in St. Tierney’s Church, Roslea on Friday 3rd October 2025 at 7pm.

Connolly Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of John (Johnny) Murray, 120 Derryree Wood, Lisnaskea BT92 0LG suddenly, Sunday 31st August, 2025. May Johnny’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace

Johnny will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Clare and his cherished children Dara and Una, his father Michael, sister Michelle (Martin McClave), brother Martin (Anthony Murray). A dear uncle to all his nieces and nephews. A treasured son-in-law of Jim and Marie Martin and a loved brother-in-law of Kieran Martin (Orla) and Laura (Daniel Mohan). Predeceased by his mother Angela.

Johnny will repose at Swift & McCaffrey Funeral Home, 52 Nutfield Road, Lisnaskea this evening Tuesday (2nd) from 7pm until 10pm and again tomorrow Wednesday (3rd) from 11am until 10pm. Removal from funeral home on Thursday morning at 11am, travelling via Knockavea to arrive at St Tierney’s Church, Roslea for 12noon funeral mass. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

FAMILY HOME IS STRICTLY PRIVATE PLEASE.

Johnny’s funeral mass will be live streamed on www.churchservices.tv/roslea. Family flowers only please, donations to ‘Catherine’s Journey’ by donation box or Aidan Connolly Funeral Director.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, son, daughter, father, sister, brother, mother and father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and large circle of family and friends.
