In Loving Memory of Sheila Neeson

Family Acknowledgement and Month’s Mind Notice
We, the family of the late Sheila Neeson, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to all who supported us during our recent, sudden, and heart-breaking loss.
A special word of thanks to the emergency services who attended Sheila at our family home on Sunday evening. Your care, professionalism, and compassion will never be forgotten.
We are truly grateful to our extended family, friends, and neighbours for their kindness and unwavering support. Thank you to all who provided food, prepared meals, sent cards and messages, travelled to be with us, and assisted in any practical way – from making tea to helping with parking during the wake and funeral.
To Lavery’s Funeral Directors for their dignity and respectful way they carried out the funeral arrangements.
To St. Michael’s GAC stewards, thank you for assisting with parking and providing shuttle transport from your clubrooms. Our thanks also to Lissan Leisure Club for the use of crockery and chairs during the wake.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Monsignor Curry for administering the Last Rites with such gentle care and reverence. His beautifully personal and touching homily during her requiem captured Sheila’s spirit and life with grace and sincerity. We are deeply grateful for his presence and continued support to our entire family.
To Plunkett McGartland, Andrea Begley, Claire Scullion (Sheila’s niece), and her grandsons – Conor, Dara, and Joe Neeson – thank you for the beautiful and moving music during the requiem mass.
We also thank Michael McElhatton and all the staff at the Greenvale Hotel for their care and service at the funeral dinner.
A special thanks to the doctors and staff of Loy Medical Centre, Podiatry, local hospitals and Gordon’s Chemist who helped Sheila manage her arthritis and other medical needs over the years.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a personal expression of our sincerest thanks and gratitude.
Sheila is dearly loved and deeply missed by her children, sons/daughters-in-law, grandchildren, siblings, brothers/sister-in-law, wider family circle, neighbours and friends.
May her kind, generous, and loving soul find peace and eternal rest among the saints in Heaven.
“We cannot see her but she is still with us. A mother like ours is more than a memory. She is a living presence.”

A Month’s Mind Mass for Sheila will be celebrated on Thursday, 9th October 2025 at 7:30 pm, St. Michael’s Church, Lissan.
