The daughters — Denise, Deborah, Marie, Nicola, Mariann & Terri — wish to thank all those who sympathised on the sad passing of our much loved Daddy, Colm O’Kane.
We would like to offer a very special thanks to Fr. McFaul for his prayers and blessings.
To all the doctors of the Cancer Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital, the Respiratory Staff at the Hub we are very much appreciative of all the kindness, care & compassion shown to Colm and to the family.
We offer thanks to all our extended family, friends & neighbours who offered prayers and support.
We offer a special word of thanks to W J O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, especially to Kieran & colleagues who went above and beyond to help us during this difficult time. Their professionalism was excellent.
We offer thanks to Erin Carlin and musicians for providing beautiful music during Colm’s funeral.
We are very grateful to all who travelled to be with us for Colm’s funeral and all who sent mass & sympathy cards.
Colm’s month mind mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Creggan at 7:30 Friday 1st August.
The Mass will be offered for everyone’s intentions.

The death has occurred of the late Colm O’Kane, July 4 2025, beloved husband of the late Patsy, Creggan Road, devoted father of Denise, Deborah, Marie, Nicola, Terri, Karl-Ann and the late Martina, a cherished father-in-law and grandfather son of the late Frank and Mary and dear brother of the late June and Martin.

House private please. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Saturday from 7.00pm – 10.00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Creggan on Sunday at 1.30pm. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Friends of Altnagelvin (The Cancer Centre), C/o Mr Peter Nicholl, MDEC Unit, Altnagelvin Hospital, Glenshane Road, Derry, BT47 6SB. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
