O’MEARA Gerry – R.I.P. 71 Foughilletra Road, Jonesborough, Newry BT35 8SH. 23rd October 2025, peacefully at Evora Hospice, Newry. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary, partner of the late Teenie Smith, father of Malachy (Fiona) and the late Imelda, devoted and loving granda of Shea; predeceased by his parents Margaret and Joseph, brothers Martin and Paddy and his sisters May, Eileen, Kathleen, Lily and Bridie.

Gerry’s remains will repose at his late residence this evening (Thursday 23rd October) from 7-10pm and tomorrow (Friday 24th October) from 1-4pm and from 6-10pm. Removal from his late residence on Saturday morning (25th October) at 11.15am, arriving for Requiem

Mass at 12.00 noon in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Cloughoge. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for him.

Very deeply regretted by his loving son, grandchildren, brothers Bill and John, sisters Agnes, Annie and Josie, brother-in-law Michael Murphy, sister-in-law Kathleen O’Meara, nephews, nieces and the extended family circle.
