We the family of the late Paul Mc Grail (RIP) would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our extended family members, our friends and neighbours for their kindness, sympathy, support and generosity in our recent bereavement.

We are especially grateful to those who attended Paul’s wake, funeral, sent mass cards and sympathy cards, flowers, made tea and who shared comforting words and memories.

Thank you to James Turkington at Turkington’s Cafe and to Paul Hassen, for providing the beautiful food during the wake.

A special thank you to Dr. Caroline Mc Guigan From Ardmore Medical Practice, Dungannon, the District Nursing team especially Marian, Lorraine, Nicola and Cathy for the unforgettable care, warmth and kindness shown to Paul during his last few weeks.

To the Marie Curie Nurses thank you also for the unforgettable care and compassion shown to Paul in his final week. Thanks also to Harriet Robinson, reflexologist from South Tyrone Hospital Southern Area Hospice who came to treat Paul at home with such warmth, care, and professionalism, and to Denver Devlin at Torrent Pharmacy for all his help and guidance.

To PJ and Luke the two paramedics and Dungannon Fire Crew for their help and special assistance on 5th July. This will never be forgotten. Thank you.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Slater, Donaghmore for visiting Paul at home and to Fr. Boyle for his presence during the wake, for celebrating Requiem Mass and for the beautiful touching and heartfelt eulogy and to the Sacristan, Eucharistic ministers and altar servers throughout the mass.

Thank you to Ellie O’Niell for the beautiful singing and Nuala McCormick for the music during the mass.

A special thank you to Paul’s best friend and funeral director Kate McAleer, for her professionalism, compassion throughout and her amazing friendship with Paul, and to John Donaghy for his dignified help at this difficult time.

Thank you to Sean Rafferty who prepared Paul’s final resting place at St Lúráns.

A huge thank you to everyone who generously donated their time and resources to help in any way. We unfortunately are unable to thank everyone individually but rest assured your kindness will not be forgotten.

Paul’s months mind mass will be celebrated on Saturday the 9th August at 6pm in Holy Trinity Church, Cookstown. All are welcome to join us in remembering and praying for Paul. Mass can also be viewed via webcam also. St Peregrine pray for him.

McGRAIL (Cookstown) 9th July 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, Paul (17 Parkanaur Road, Castlecaufield). Dearly loved husband of Irene, much loved stepfather of Ronan (Samantha) and cherished granda of Brianá and Riádh. Beloved son of the late Jack and Sue Mc Grail, Orritor Cresent, Cookstown. Dearest brother of Mark and Tracey. Loving Uncle to Jack, Ryan, Katie and Sophie. Son-in-law of Laurence and Maureen Gallagher (Moortown) and brother-in-law of Gary (Anna) Conleth (Olga) John (Fiona) and dog dad of Bruno.

Paul is reposing at home and his family have respectively requested that their home remain private to family and closest friends please.

Funeral from there on Friday for 1pm Requiem Mass in Holy Trinity Church,  Interment afterwards in St Lúráns Cemetery, Cookstown. Family time only on Friday morning please.

Very deeply regretted by his wife, stepson, granddaughters, brother, sister, nephews, nieces, father and mother in law, brothers in law, extended family and many friends.

Oh Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Have Mercy On His Soul. St. Peregrine, pray for him.
