McAleer (New York, NY) 29th November 2020, after a short illness, Peter, beloved son of the late Dermott and Bridget RIP and cherished brother of Helen (Australia), Fr. Barney (South Africa), Cliodhna (Port Stewart), Eileen (Derry) and Massie (Pomeroy)

Formerly of Main Street Pomeroy, Peter moved to New York in his early twenties and successfully pursued his career as a commercial artist in Manhattan. He established one of the first businesses using his artistic skills in the field of beauty and fashion magazine layout design for Vanity Fair, Vogue and Elizabeth Arden to name just a few. 

He loved Manhattan, in particular the Hudson River which he often painted. In his work and in his life he made the world a more beautiful place.

He will be dearly missed by his sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, entire family circle, close neighbours and friends.
