POWELL Colum R.I.P. Late of 35 The Glen, Newry. 28th September 2025, suddenly at Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry. Beloved husband of the late Joy, loving father of Karen, Garry, Stephen and the late Suzanne, devoted grandfather to Richard, Ryan, Suzanne, C.J., Tara, Zara, Ronan, Rhian, Johanna, Dearbhla, Kelsi, Cole and Cerys, and great-grandfather to Grace, Zahra and Caoimhe; predeceased by his brothers Oliver and Kevin and his sister Nancy.

Colum’s remains will repose at his home. House private this evening (Monday 29th September) for family only please. All welcome to pay their respects tomorrow (Tuesday 30th September) from 12 noon until 8pm. Respectfully, the house is private on Wednesday morning. Removal from his late residence on Wednesday morning (1st October) at 11.40am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon in The Church of the Assumption, Drumalane, Newry. Cremation service on Thursday (2nd October) at 12.30pm in Dardistown crematorium, Dublin. Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for him.

Very deeply regretted by his loving daughter, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Larry, Finbar and Canon Gerald Powell, sister Maire (Canada), son-in-law Adrian, daughters-in-law Debbie and Sue and the extended family circle.
