It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael (Mickey) Roddy, suddenly at his home on 30th June 2025. Late of 1 Alexander Cottages, Bishop Street. May he rest in peace. Beloved father of Michael, Melanie and the late Keith (Oxy). A much loved father-in-law of Anna Marie. Loving granda of Shannon, Micheál and Órán. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his brothers, sisters, wider family circle and friends.

Mickey’s remains will be reposing at his daughter Melanie’s home, 81 Chapel Rd from 11:30am tomorrow morning, Tuesday 1st July. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday 3rd July at 9:30am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Columb’s Church, Chapel Rd. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Wake house will be private from 10pm until 10am.
