ROONEY Gerard Patrick, Ballycastle, formerly Glengormley (Born 20th March 1945) Peacefully passed away at home, 12th June 2025. Late of Leyland Farm, Ballycastle, and formerly of Glengormley.

Beloved husband of the late Eilish, cherished father of Geraldine, Karen, Seán, Conor and Niall, and dear brother to Nancy. A proud grandfather to his grandchildren.

Fondly remembered and deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, extended family and all who knew him.

Funeral from his late residence at 9:30am on Wednesday 18th June to St. Patrick’s & St. Brigid’s Church for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in Carnmoney Cemetery at 1:00pm.

Gerard’s wake will commence at his home from 6pm on Monday 16th June. All Callers welcome.
