ROONEY (nee Braniff) Ellen R.I.P. Ellen passed away peacefully at Kilwee Care home 27th February 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved daughter of the late Ellen and Jimmy. Wife of Gerald. Much loved mother of Karen, Lynette, Geraldine and Brenda. Cherished Grandmother and great grandmother to many. Loved sister to all her brothers and sisters. Our Lady of Lourdes Pray for Her.

Ellen will be reposing in her daughter’s home (29 Tornaray road, Hannahstown) from Sunday afternoon for those wishing to pay their respects. Ellen will leave her daughters home on Tuesday 3rd March at 10:30am to arrive at St Joseph’s, Hannahstown for 11am Requiem mass. Burial to follow at Milltown Cemetery.

Ellen will be loved and sorely missed by her heartbroken daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great grandchildren, brother, sisters and the wider family circle.
