Rose HUGHES (née Nugent)

Date of Death: Thursday 15th January 2026 Town: Dungannon

Died 15th of January 2026

We, the family of the late Rose Hughes wish to express our sincerely thanks to all our family, friends and neighbours who sympathised, pray and supported us during our recent sad bereavement. To those who travel long distances to be at the wake and funeral.

Words cannot express our gratitude for the kindness shown to us as we mourn the loss of our adored mother, Nana, great grandmother and sister.

A heartfelt thanks to all who attended the wake, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu.

Thanks to all who helped during the wake, brought food and prepared refreshments. Thanks to Martina Donaghy for catering at the wake and The Old Rectory for the loan of chairs. We greatly appreciate all you have done for us as a family and are truly touched by your kindness and generosity.

A special word of thanks to Father McCamley for celebrating such a beautiful and meaningful Requiem mass and homily, and for the true reflection of Rose in the eulogy.

To Kate McAleer for the dignified and considered manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Sincere thanks to the grave diggers for preparing Rose’s final resting place with dignity and respect.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we trust the acknowledgement will be accepted as a heartfelt and sincere expression of gratitude and appreciation.

Rose’s months mind mass will be celebrated in the church of Saint Malachy Edendork on Tuesday, the 17th of February at 7:30 pm.
