SMYTH Dr Anthony (Mullaghbawn, Co. Armagh) December 11th, 2025. Peacefully at home, Dr Anthony, who served as a local community GP for 60 years and was honoured as a Papal Knight of St. Gregory. Devoted husband of the late Phyllis and cherished father of Anthony, Paddy, Catherine, Aidan, Nial, Sinead and the late Kieran, Brian, Siobhan and baby Síle, “Shanroe House”, 18 Tullymacrieve Road, Mullaghbawn. May he Rest In Peace.

House strictly private for immediate family only. Dr Anthony’s remains will leave his late residence on Friday evening at 6.45pm, arriving at St Mary’s Church at 7pm for repose. Those who wish to pay their respects are welcome to do so as the cortège passes through the village or join us in the Chapel for evening prayer.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for him.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his sister Annie, nephews, nieces and the entire family circle.
