It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Adrian (Aidy) Thompson, suddenly at his home on 11th May 2025. Late of 73 Marlborough Rd and formerly of 1 Bantry Rd, Foyle Springs. May he rest in peace.

Beloved son of Kay and Roy. Loving brother of Kieran, Tara and Kevin. Dearest brother-in-law of Amanda and Roisin. A much loved uncle of Katie, Ethan, Kian, Emma and Niamh. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends.

Aidy’s remains will be reposing at his late family home, 1 Bantry Rd, Foyle Springs, from 7:30pm this evening, Tuesday 13th May. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday 15th May at 9:30am for 10am Requiem Mass in The Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Wake house will be private from 10pm until 11am.
