We regret to inform you of the recent death of David Thompson. Passed away at home with his loving family by his side on 16th January 2026. Late of Sunnylands Grove, Carrickfergus. Devoted husband of Jacqueline. Loving Dad of Deborah, David, Johanne and Phyllis. Loving Step-dad to Nikki, Colville and Stuart. Very proud Granda and Great Granda. Loving son of the late Geordie and Marty. Loving brother to Gilly, John, Marty, Philip, Derek and the late Thomas and Joyce.

The funeral service will be held in S&J Irvine’s Funeral Home, Carrickfergus on Wednesday 21st January at 12 noon and afterwards to Victoria Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired to Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) c/o S&J Irvine 31-35 Irish Quarter South.

David will be sadly missed and will always be loved and remembered by the entire family circle.
