The family circle of the late Sheila Abbott wish to thank everyone who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. A special word of thanks to Rev Lynne Gibson of St. Marks Ballymacash, Lisburn for conducting Sheila’s Funeral Service and for her words of comfort and prayers.

To all those who attended her funeral sent cards of sympathy or helped in any way. Sincere thanks to all those who sent donations, cheques payable to Motor Neurone Disease Association N.I. c/o Ronnie Thompson Funeral Directors or online via www.ronniethompson.co.uk. Sheila’s late daughter, Heather, died from Motor Neurone Disease.

Thanks to the doctors from Moira Surgery who cared for Sheila for a short period. Sincere appreciation to the staff from many different nations who lovingly cared for Sheila at Laganvale Nursing Home, Moira in the last month of her life. The Guard of Honour as she left Laganvale will always be remembered.

Sheila lived for over 15 years in Annahilt Residential Home. The family will be forever grateful to the staff for their care, devotion and friendship during the most continuous happy period of Sheila’s life.

Finally, appreciation to Ronnie Thompson Funeral Directors for their dignified care of Sheila from leaving Laganvale to her interment at Magheragall Presbyterian Church Graveyard.

ABBOTT (née Frazer) Sheila Viola – 2nd November 2024. Peacefully at Laganvale Care Home, Moira, aged 97 years. Late of Annahilt Care Home. Formerly of Killowen Park, Lisburn. Dearly beloved wife of the late William (Billy) and loving mum to the late Heather.

Funeral Service in St. Mark’s Parish Church, Ballymacash, Lisburn on Wednesday 6th November at 2.30pm afterwards to Magheragall Presbyterian graveyard for burial. No flowers please. Sheila will be lovingly remembered by her brother Scott and dear friend Bertha. Her niece Norma, nephews Desmond, Nigel and his wife Geraldine, Trevor and his wife Brigid, Andrew and his wife Meryl. Also, her great nieces and nephews and her great-great nieces and nephew. Peace is yours. Loving memories ours.
