Date of Death: Saturday 21st September 2024

Grimes, Camlough Road, Carrickmore, 21st September 2024, Annie, RIP

We the family of the late Annie Grimes (wife of the late Mick) would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised and supported us following the recent death of our much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother in law, sister and aunt.

We offer our sincere gratitude to Fr Peter McAnenly for his spiritual support during his visits to and during the wake, to Fr Lagan who attended mummy in her final hours and to Fr Colhoun who called at the house.  A special thanks to Fr David Moore for celebrating mummy’s touching Requiem mass.  We also thank all of those who participated in the mass; altar servers, sacristan, readers, Eucharistic ministers and to the McElduff family and Conal Ward for the beautiful music.  Thank you to Joe McCillen for the beautiful mass booklets also.

We deeply appreciate all of those who called at the house, brought food, sent messages and sympathy cards during and after the wake.

To our kind extended family and neighbours, who helped before and during the wake, to those who travelled long distances to be with us, or sent floral tributes, we thank you.

Thank you to the paramedics for their professional and kind assistance to mummy, to the doctors, nurses and staff of SWAH and Altnagelvin Hospitals.  We thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Carrickmore Health Centre, the Beragh district nursing team and the staff of Harte’s Pharmacy Carrickmore as well as the carers for their kindness shown to mummy.

Many thanks to the Charm Inn for providing the refreshments, to the Patrician Hall for the use of their facilities and to the gravediggers who prepared mummy’s final resting place.

Finally, thank you to FMC Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which mummy’s funeral arrangements were carried out.

Annie’s Months Mind mass will take place in St Colmcille’s Church, Carrickmore on Friday 25th October at 7.30 pm.  The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.
