Date of Death: Sunday 13th October 2024

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to everyone who reached out to us at the sad passing of our beautiful son, Donal.
We warmly thank those who helped us find Donal. We met so many people out searching, and we will be forever grateful to you.
We also wish to thank everyone who visited our home during the wake, sent cards and messages of support, attended the funeral and donated to Foyle Search & Rescue.
Thank you also to our wonderful extended family and friends who helped throughout this time and during the wake. Your love, support and friendship were felt deeply and are greatly appreciated.
A special thank you to Foyle Search & Rescue, PSNI, Boyne Fisherman’s Rescue, Community Rescue Service, SARDA and other organisations for their unwavering efforts to find Donal and bring him home to us.
Many thanks to Monsignor Andrew Dolan for the beautiful Requiem Mass and for his compassion and support throughout this terrible time. Thank you to Fr Noel McDermott and Fr Michael Canny for their prayers and support and to Gerry Cunningham for his help during the funeral.
Thank you to Robert Peoples, Michelle Conaghan and Gerard Bradley for the beautiful music.
Thank you to Cassidy’s Café, Tamnaherin, for the wonderful refreshments provided after the funeral and to Eamon Donaghy at Culinary Arts for his food and gracious service at the house during the wake.
We would also like to express our thanks to WJ O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton for their dignified and professional service.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of the family’s deep appreciation of all those kind people who were there for us at this heartbreaking time. Thank you x
