It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Barr, peacefully at home, surrounded by all of his loving family on 24th May 2025. Late of 29 Burnside Manor, Killea and formerly of 7 Rathowen Park. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of Jean. Devoted father of Ethan, Lisa and Cara. Dearest father-in-law of Eimear, Johnpaul and Stephen. Wonderful granda of Caí, Ada and Lila. A much loved brother to all of his brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, wider family circle and friends.

Michael’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 29 Burnside Manor, Killea from 6:30pm this evening, Saturday 24th May. Funeral leaving from there on Monday 26th May at 9:15am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
