BLACKWOOD Leonard (Leo) Walker passed on 20th September 2024 at the age of 72.

Leo was born on 28th January 1952 in Ayr, Scotland to Elizabeth and Leonard Snr, and an older brother to Garry.

As a young man he joined the family business as a painter and decorator. A varied career followed including working in stamp works and construction work in Belfast and Edinburgh.

A keen golfer and darts player, with an interest in chess. However, he will most likely be remembered as a great story teller and as someone who could strike up a conversation anywhere he went.

By chance Leonard arrived in Ballycastle where he has lived on and off for the last 30 years. Leonard will be remembered by his daughters Karyn and Leona, son Brendan, his grandchildren Kieran, Joey, Ivy, Lucy and Tom.
