BLAIR George (Geordie) 14th August 2026, passed away peacefully in his 101st year at home, with his loving family by his side. Late of Carlan Close, Rathcoole. Loving husband of the late Dolly (Susan). Much loved dad of Kathleen, Sally, Marie, Susan, Linda and April. He was very proud of his family, spanning six generations (17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild). He shared an extra special bond with George and Kirsty.

George will be leaving his home at 12.15 pm on Wednesday 19th August, all friends welcome to join the family for the funeral procession to Rathcoole Presbyterian Church, Rathmore Drive Newtownabbey for a funeral service at 1.30 p.m. followed by interment in Carnmoney East Cemetery.

George was much loved by everyone who knew him. He was a legend in Rathcoole and was known by everyone as ‘Granda’.

God takes us one by one and breaks the family chain, but someday in a better land the chain will link again.

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.
