CAIRNS Mervyn, June 3 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, loving father of Marc and Gemma, father-in-law of Paul, devoted grandmother of Katelyn, Sonny and Arlo and cherished great-grandfather of Mila. Deeply regretted by Anita, Máirtín, Joe and Laura and all his extended family and friends.

Mervyn will be reposing in the family home, 84 Drumard Park, Hazelbank, from 3 pm on Thursday. Funeral service will take place at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, Co Derry, BT47 3PU on Saturday at 2 pm. A private cremation will take place at a later date. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
