CANNING (née Burns) Elizabeth (Liz) – 20th November 2023, peacefully in Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, late of 192 Abbeydale.

Beloved daughter of the late Jim & Sadie Burns, Ardground. Dear sister of Donald and the late Carol [Traynor], sister-in-law of Margaret and John and a much loved cousin. Devoted aunt of Jennifer, Karen, Shauna, Gavin and David and cherished great-aunt of Emer, Daniel, Ellen, Michael and Anna.

At Elizabeth’s request, family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU on Tuesday from 7 – 9 pm. Her remains will be removed from there on Wednesday at 5.30 pm to St Patrick’s Church, Claudy for Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
