The family of the late Colette Laird would like to extend our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to everyone who prayed and supported us through our recent bereavement. We thank all who called at the wake, helped in the house during the wake, provided food, sent Mass Cards and flowers and all who attended Colette’s funeral. Thanks also to Pomeroy Community hub, Millwheel Bar and the ladies and gentlemen who provided and served the refreshments after the funeral service.

Thanks to Mr McAleer and Doctor Crawford, Belfast City Hospital, Cancer Centre, Dr Corry and staff at Carrickmore Health Centre, Damian and staff at Pomeroy Chemist, Termonmaguirc Cancer Care and Macmillan cancer care, Eilis Magill Northern Ireland Hospice and Sharon Maguire and the district nurses and special thank you to Elaine Simpson for their dedicated care, support and compassion during her illness.

Deep Gratitude to Father Moore for the beautiful Requiem Mass also his Spirtual care and friendship he gave to Colette at home. Special thanks to Dervla Kelly for the beautiful singing and music at the Mass and all who assisted with the funeral. Grateful appreciation to Kate Mc Aleer Funeral director for the attentive dignified and professional manner in which she carried out the Funeral arrangements and the gravediggers who prepared Colette’s final resting place.

A special note of appreciation and thanks to Mrs Hinfey and St Mary’s Primary School staff for their continuous strength and support and the children for their guard of honour for Colette.

As it’s impossible to thank everyone individually Please accept this as a token of our appreciation

LAIRD (Pomeroy) 18th March 2024 peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, Colette (née Beggs).  Beloved wife of Eddie cherished mother to Majella and her husband Cathal, Patrick, Mark and his partner Rebecca, doting granny to Nicole (Shae), Caoimhe (James), Declan and Emma. and great-granny to Caiden and Tomai. Much loved sister and sister-in-law.

Colette is reposing at home 20 Keeragh BT70 2QZ until removal Wednesday for 11am Requiem Mass in The Church of the Assumption, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Our Lady pray for her.

Deeply loved and missed by her sorrowing husband, daughter, sons, son-in-law, daughter-in-law Shauna,  grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Uncle Charlie, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, entire family circle, neighbours and friends.

Colette’s family have respectively requested that their home remain closed to immediate family and close friends tonight please and all are welcome tomorrow .
