COLGAN (nee Bradley) Rita (Ballymaderphy, Kilkeel) (Margurite) Rita passed away peacefully on Sunday July 31st at Brooklands Nursing Home, three weeks from her 91st birthday.

Dearly beloved wife of the late Peter Colgan and mother of Leo (Nikki), Margaret Ryan, Teresa White (Seamus) and Deirdre Sullivan (Richmond) and sister of May Brannigan, Tullyframe. Predeceased by her sister, Irene McComb; her son-in-law Martin Ryan; her brother-in-law Jimmy Brannigan; her great grandchildren Charlie and Mollie White as well as cherished member of the Colgan household, Willie Sloan Brennan. Rita will be very sadly missed by her children, her sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousin Christina Mackle, the extended Colgan and Bradley families and all those who knew and loved her over a long life of contentment built on her strong Catholic faith.

Rita’s remains are reposing at the family home, 15 Ballymaderphy Road until removal on Wednesday at 11.15am for Requiem Mass at 12noon in St Colman’s Church, Massforth, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
